As users of the Malagasy language, we have observed a decline in our written proficiency. With the advent of Web 2.0, the ability to express ourselves through written words has become increasingly important. Recognizing the significance of preserving the correct usage of our language, we have dedicated time and resources to revitalizing it.
To achieve this, we have developed innovative solutions such as a digital spell checker and a writing tool assistant powered by deep learning and natural language processing. These tools aid in ensuring accurate and proper usage of the Malagasy language in written form.
Read MoreWith recognition of the abundance of knowledge and resources accessible through the internet, we also understand that not everyone has equal access to these opportunities. In an effort to close this gap, we devote our time and resources to projects such as NGO Mpianatra and SCOPE GFI Sarl, which provide free education to those in need.
Fueled by gratitude for the education and knowledge we have received beyond the boundaries of Madagascar, we are committed to giving back and empowering others with similar opportunities through initiatives like NGO Mpianatra and SCOPE GFI Sarl. Despite our busy lives, we are driven to make a difference and extend a hand of hope to those in need of access to education.
Our main contribution, aligned with the goal of each project are:

However, a community in China quickly found a solution by releasing their core technology. All it needed was a bit of fine-tuning and effective deployment to be put into use. Scope-GFI's mission is to bring back the glory of the Imerina culture. For the past 20 years, its radio station RFIM has been broadcasting locally at 101.6 FM frequency. However, the youth of the Analamaga region is not very responsive to the calls to revive the culture. Despite organizing on-site events like concerts, the response could have been better. But, we noticed that younger radio stations with a younger audience are more active on social media and responsive to on-site events. Upon analysis, we found that the key difference is the type of music being played. This led us to ask the following questions:
Always trying to get closer to its audience, and to keep the Imerina culture alive, we are devoting hours of work to assist the RFIM to attain its goal. Among the other tasks awaiting, what's currently visible to everyone is the newly created website that features some report articles based on the topics that were aired during the different radio shows.
Traditionally, Malagasy students are instructed in French from primary education through their basic academic tenure. A legacy of colonial rule and its continuation post-independence in 1960 means many Malagasy passport holders are fluent in French, an official language. In 2007, English was briefly added to the official languages list but was removed by 2010.
Nevertheless, Malagasy remains the nation's primary language. Madagascar, home to approximately 28 million people, is a vast island divided into diverse regions. Notably, there are significant linguistic variations in vocabulary, intonation, and grammar between regions, such as the North and South. Even regions within the highlands exhibit these differences. If each of Madagascar's 23 regions has its own dialectal variation, this results in at least 23 versions of the Malagasy language.
Such diversity might be manageable if limited to spoken form, but the rise of international social media platforms has begun to impact written Malagasy. Specifically, the traditional Imerina dialect, once considered the standard written form, is now one of many versions used by the younger generation. This shift threatens the consistency of written Malagasy. We embarked on this project by reviewing existing studies on the Malagasy language, aiming to develop tools that promote its standardization.

Bringing the RFIM Closer to its Audience. With the goal of reviving the Imerina culture, we are dedicating time and effort to support the RFIM. One of our recent initiatives is the creation of a website featuring articles on the topics discussed on various radio shows.
